英英辞典はオックスフォードとロングマンのものを持っていて、コウビルドの評判の良いのは知っていたけれど、わざわざ買う気にはなれなかった。大学翻訳センターのコースガイドで勧めていたので、この機会にゲット。
買ってしまうと、最初に引く英英はこれになってしまいそう。例えば「inherit」を比較してみる。
【オックスフォード】
1 to receive money, property, etc. from sb when they die
2 to have qualities, physical features, etc. that are similar to those of your parents, grandparents, etc.
